ANNUAL REPORTS
Interdisciplinary school-based centers are required, as part of their approval and establishment, to prepare an annual report. A copy of the annual report should be filed with the dean’s office for the school in which the center is administered, as well as with the Office of the Vice Provost for Interdisciplinary Studies. Reports should be submitted as soon as possible after the end of the fiscal year, no later than September 1.
The information in the annual reports will be used as benchmarks for the five-year formal review process. The annual report will normally include the following items:
- A brief assessment of the year's successes and failures, with an indication of the measures the center is using to account for success or failure. This might include a list of programs, projects, and events sponsored by the center.
- Faculty engaged in the center’s activities, and the corresponding departments.
- Number of students (graduate and undergraduate) involved in center activities.
- Number and names of courses taught with involvement and leadership of center faculty.
- Number of publications generated by faculty and staff associated with center activities.
- A list of external funds applied for, indicating grant proposal title, sponsor, grant period, PI, award/requested amount, F&A/ICR amount and recipient school or department, and status.
- The center's current budget and actual expenditures, as well as a brief explanation of any significant variances in the current FY budget.
- The projected center budget for the next two-three years.
