MANAGING A SCHOOL-BASED CENTER

Once a center is created, it is normally approved for a five-year period.  Management of the interdisciplinary center is the primary responsibility of the center's director.

While each school manages its own process for regularly reviewing the school-based centers, the general process involves preparing an annual report, and undergoing a periodic formal review.

In addition, schools are responsible for compiling information from their centers and submitting to the Provost's Office each year a report on the interdisciplinary centers in the school.  The reports are due to the Provost's Office between November 31 and March 31 each year, depending on the reporting cycle in each school, and include a report on selected metrics and updates on centers' goals and accomplishments from the previous year and plans for the coming year.
